Lindford Village Fete 2016

fete_2016_handover.JPGWith the help of grants from Cllr Yvonne Parker-Smith and Radian, Lindford PC held a very successful and busy fete at the Village Hall in June.  It was kindly supported by local businesses including Spar doing a fabulous BBQ, beer tent by the Royal Exchange, games and fun activities from Pollyanna pre-school and advertising by Keats Estate agents to name a few.  The fete aimed to raise fete_2016_air_ambulance.JPGmoney for the charity The Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance based at Thruxton.

On 10 August, Parish Council Chairman, Cllr Derek Barr, had great pleasure in presenting volunteer Norman Figg (HIOWAA) with a cheque for 1500-00. The presentation took place at the Lindford Village Hall and was attended by some of the team that organised the fete. The picture shows Julian Taylor-Green with Norman Figg and the cheque.

We hope to increase the awareness of this charity which now has the capability to operate after dark.
